Exceeding the SBC recommended limit

Hello,

Has anyone on here used an SBC while exceeding the recommended limit of 50 extensions?

We have a new deployment with over 100 phones and would like to use an SBC to avoid the headache of using a VPN to connect back to the hosted 3CX. The key part here is that only ~10 of the phones will actively be used while the rest will be used rarely.

I'm just looking to see if anyone has used the SBC with more than the recommend extensions in production.

The majority of users probably won't risk testing the limits on a working system. You may not have issues, depending on whether there is a retention of some data for every set behind, the SBC. if so, then there may be a memory limit issue, rather than a processor speed issue.

We have 50 polycoms behind a single SBC, and it performs flawlessly, this is a standalone 3CX Linux SBC running on one of these protectli devices. We also use them as firewalls with pfsense installed to them. They also work exceedingly well for small 3CX(linux) on premise builds with 4-16 sim calls. They take mSATA so you can pop in whatever size you like(32gb it comes with is overkill unless you hold lots of recordings).... True Quad Core atom E3845, 4gb RAM, upgradable to 8...
