Expected call handling behaviour for GSM/3CX calls?

Should the 3CX app be aware of GSM call status/progress? What is the expected behaviour when a call comes in when another call is already in progress?
Part of me thinks ideally, GSM/3CX should be fully aware of each other, and show as engaged - but I also appreciate that some users might prefer for the new call to ring and give the user the option whether to switch between calls or similar.

Is there a full explanation of how this should be working anywhere for me to refer to as the 3CX installer/admin?

Unfortunately there isn't a full explanation why the GSM and 3CX calls aren't aware of each other, but with Android it is a bit hard because each manufacturer has a slightly different implementation.

It is something though that may be considered in the future.
