Are you speaking of those?Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has experience using these phones? They are newer/prettier and would be our preference over the older 311/411 etc.
Thanks
If they support standard SIP, you shouldn't have any issues. You could even try copying the official VVX template, and add model lines for your phones and see if they provision. No, I am not. Thos are old models (note there is no "VVX" in front of the number). The phones I'm speaking about are the VVX 250/350/450 etc. They are current products on the Polycom website and in fact are marketed as higher end phones. They have full color screens, much nicer looker menus etc. They are part of the same VVX family as the VVX 311, 411 etc. Basically they look like "modern" phones compared to the older looking ones that 3cx says it supports.
I have been out of the voip world for a while, but I did a lot of asterisk work in the past. A sip phone is a sip phone, more or less. I don't personally see a reason why these aren't supported unless it's just an issue of 3cx picking certain models to test and validate. Is there any reason your'e aware of they would cause me any issue? I'm just getting started with 3cx (enterprise license hopefully being issued today). thanks
Grandstream is another story lol ask @cobaltit !do you have much recent experience with Polycom? Back when I dealt with voip stuff (a decade ago), they were really good. I'd be kinda concerned if someone couldn't produce stable firmware for a phone...
Snom is pretty good and works well with 3CX. Personally, Yealink is the best. All the others work well, but with some limitations or issues sometimes. Whereas Yealink don't have a lot.Any reason why? Do you have a preference among the ones you do sell? I've honestly never heard of Snom before...
We sell Yealink.
Supported by 3CX brings some value with it. Like managed provisioning and remote support to name some.
How much is your time worth?
