Ext Voicemail greeting slow to play

We have a site that is experiencing the following issue. When an ext is called into, it rings 3 times then goes to voicemail if it wasn't picked up. We have found that 4 out of 5 times this works just fine. The other times the caller hears silence at first, then the voicemail greeting starts to play, but slowly. Has anyone experienced this before and found a resolution?

Is this a version 15.5 instance and was it updated recently ?

Audio files should be in the format of:

Format: WAV
Channel: Mono
Bit rate: 8 kHz
Sample: 16 bit

However if it only happens at certain times I don't think this is your issue, the only thing that comes to mind is perhaps bandwidth. Where is the call coming from and where is the location of the endpoint/extension in regards to 3CX, is it hosted, is it an extension using remote STUN for example.

If you can replicate the issue, then compare a call the works fine, with one that has the delay, in the 3CX Activity Log. Does the log acknowledge the delay in the one call? What differs in the logs?

I've seen times where the voicemail is playing really fast and the first couple words go by too fast - but never too slow... never investigated, as its maybe 1% of the time.

Thank you all for your feedback. We've looked into it and can no longer make the issue appear. I've saved the suggestions if it re-occurs.
