Extension Caller ID

Hi there,

I have a requirement to change From: caller id to appear to be coming from a specific phone number that is not one of DID's on our trunk. However, when we try to use Caller ID specified in the extension or any other place that is overwriting the default caller id outbound calls are dropped with "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx replied: 404 Not found". Idea is to have calls going to US display our US office phone number.

Your help would be appreciated.

Hi @PeterM

To be able to use a number as an outbound caller ID your provider needs to support this function. Some providers just don't or others offer it as a payed service. Or your provider needs some special configuration to get this working,
We test for this for our supported providers. Just look at the Clip No Screening Support value and make sure it is set to Yes.
