Hi all,

I have a client who are a business centre. One of the units in there has 2 extensions which will not accept inbound calls from fellow VoIP numbers. The extensions will, however, take calls from mobile numbers and traditional/PSTN lines.

I have gone through all the settings and it is setup exactly how other extensions are which are working fine. I have spoken to the SIP provider and they say everything is fine their end. I am getting nowhere fast on this and wonder if anyone has experienced this before and how it was resolved.

Many thanks,

Dave

Hi,

Can you open a support ticket with the following details in order to investigate your issue:
  • FQDN
  • License key
  • WAN IP

Hi,

Great stuff, I have sent that over.

Thanks you.

Hi!

As one of my colleagues suggested, routing issues can usually be tracked by settings your 3CX system to Verbose logging, replicating the issue, then checking the Activity Log to try and figure out why the call is not being routed as you'd expect.

In order to better understand the problem you are facing, what exactly have you done? Have you create Inbound Rules pointing to those 2 extension, but when you call the DIDs, those extensions aren't ringing?

When you say that they will not take calls from "fellow VoIP numbers", do you mean other extensions, on the same PBX, or some other types of VoIP numbers, as well?

If these are outside VoIp numbers, then how have you confirmed they are VoIP? Are they all from one source such as another VoIp PBX? Are they all from callers that you know are using one VoIp provider?
