v15.5 3cx. Running as debian in a windows 10 pro hyper v Environment. Intel Nics.

Changing forwarding rules for internal and external calls defaults to "Forward to Voicemail". I want to change this to "Forward to Extension's Voicemail". However, after clicking OK, the values I selected will not save, and the settings revert to the default. I'm also finding this to be the case with User and Group rights for extensions as well (settings will not save). I'm seeing this behavior on a number of extensions.

On this particular extension (Yealink T48G), I have deleted the extension, removed the phone, factory reset the phone, and reprovisioned. Same problem. Has the latest firmware.

I have a mix of Yealink DECT (52/56), Yealink T48 / T23, and a couple of Cisco 525 phones.

With all the wierdness, wondering if I should run debian on its own machine (Not in a VM).

Have you tried another browser to see if you get the same issues.

You are logging into the 3CX Management console, using the admin username and password

Correct.

Been using latest FF, just tried it with latest Chrome, same problem.

Hello @gigaboy

Make sure that all fields are correctly populated and you are not getting a working in one of the extension tabs. Some times the error could be in a different tab and will not allow you to Press OK to save the settings.

To clarify, this is only occurring with the 3cx browser based administration. And only with drop down select fields that will not save. Checkbox and text fields work and save as expected. I do not have any trouble with other applications or browser forms on other sites. I've tried with yet another browser (Vivaldi) and same issue. Have updated mouse drivers and replaced batteries in the mouse.

Also have set a firewall exception on my win10 machine to disable scanning of the IP address where 3cx is located (Debian/hyper-v). No effect.

Also, I've attached a couple of screenshots to illustrate the problem (in this example for editing an extension, but also occurs with dropdowns for the rights and clients tabs).editExtension.jpg elementInspect.jpg

Could this be a permissions issue on the debian server?

Do you have issues with all changes in drop down menus or specific ones? Does it save the option if you select "End Call" for example? Also what PBX version are you running? You can see the exact build number on the Dashboard, under the Information column next to the licence version. For example 15.5.15502.6. What Debian version are you running?
Try checking the management console log and see if there are any errors related to this. You may need verbose logging for more details.

On the forwarding rules, seems to work with all selections except for "forward to extension VM".
I have a voicemail recording set for this extension.

The other drop downs that won't behave correctly is for Group Membership in Roles and Rights.
Even though I've set the global group parameter to be exposed to all extensions, I can get the proper group/role to set.

Not sure on what to look for here.

On the forwarding rules, seems to work with all selections except for "forward to extension VM".
I have a voicemail recording set for this extension.
The only way i can replicate this is by setting the option to "Forward to extension's VoiceMail" and set the value to be the same extension as the one i am editing which will naturally default back to "Forward to Voicemail" as the management console recognises that it is basically the same option.

I am not exactly sure what you mean by the above statement. Can you provide an example?

I would think that would behave that way. Problem is, when I do that (even though I have a VM recording set), the result is a fast busy tone, not the voicemail.
