Hi, I want to understand if user calls each other extension, does it require SIP trunking or will they billed for the minutes during the time they taking within ext-to-ext?

Does ext to ext dial use one of the license? For example for 4SC license, would it take 2 licenses now or 1 license?

Thx U,
Bora

A call will only use a trunk if the call uses outbound rules and the call route outside the PBX. this could be an outside call to a VoIP provider, or using a gateway of some sort. this could also be a Bridge trunk call to another PBX. An y internal extension to extension call will not normally use a trunk.

A four SC licence will allow four simultaneous calls, so, eight people could be talking internally, ext to ext. Or four people could be making outside calls, or any combination in between. If two people are talking, then that's one licence.

Hi, thank you the reply.

To make sure I understand correctly,

Internal ext to ext calling - two people used 1 call path license;

However if two people are calling outside via SIP trunk, it uses two call path licenses?

Correct. In the first example, it is one conversation, in the second, two.
