I'm a bit hazy on the following requirement:
You need to assign an extension user System / Root privileges. If the current 3CX administrator does not have an extension you need to create one for him. Then go to the user account, click on the Rights tab and select System Owner role in the Group Membership section.
In my case, I connect to the web admin client with a username (e.g., sysgod) and password. Do I need to create an extension with "sysgod" as the first name, or can I use an existing extension with, say, "Russell Hopkinson" and simply give that extension the System Owner role?

TIA,
Russell Hopkinson

You can use an existing extension or create a new one. It logs in to the web client not the management portal, they are different logins. The owner extension can be in its own group.

Hello,
what happens to the extension, if you give it the "System Owner" Role?
Can you still use the extension to make calls with it?
I am asking because it shows the message since last update.
If I go to my user extension (I am the IT Administrator) I have the current role "Manager".
When I select System Owner, all the checkboxes are greyed out.
So what should I do?

TIA

I tried to fix this in my system and when I changed the rolls of an existing user to System Owner, the extension unregistered and now I can't get it back to registered. Even when I put the extension back to plain User, that did not solve the problem
