Thank you so much. That is the information I needed.Hi ZackHM,
There really is not the concept of users in 3CX, only extensions. True, you do have an "administrative" login, but other than that "users" are actually numbered "extensions". 3CX does not care about the number of "extensions" from a licensing perspective. You can have 10,000 extensions.
What 3CX cares about is the number of simultaneous phone calls. Understanding the definition of a "simultaneous call" is important. A simultaneous call includes:
Pretty much any phone call is counted as a "simultaneous call". Also, consider that a conference call is going to be one simultaneous call for each participant, and calls forwarded to a cell phone are 2 simultaneous calls. There are more edge cases like calls between bridged phone systems, but you get the ideal. All calls count.
- Outbound external calls
- Inbound external calls
- Extension to extension calls
- Calls waiting on hold
- Calls waiting in a queue
- Calls to the voicemail system
So, you don't need to worry about the number of "users/extensions". You need to be concerned primarily about the number of simultaneous calls.
Founded in 2005, when VoIP was an emerging technology, 3CX has gone on to establish itself as a global leader in business communications.
