I have purchased 2 extra DID Numbers from the same provider, but when I try and direct the new numbers to an extension they keep using the main incoming rule and end up with reception.
I have created the DID rule, am I missing something. Is there something else I am supposed to do besides adding a Rule. This system is almost a default setup so it shouldnt be complicated

check the activity log to see what number is being passed to 3cx server.

You can use * in the ddi rule I.e *654321 with match 987654321 , using an * may help

Thanks Saqqara, the Activity log show the calls coming into and using the main number in rule. This numbers need to go straight to an extension without the main rule working each time. I have tried an Inbound DID Rule and a SIP Trunk DID and both do the same thing. I find it difficult such a simple task should be so difficult.

I tried the * thing but it wouldnt keep a * in there it kept reverting it back to my initial number after saving it.

Would it be because Im using Telnyx for the DIDs

If you are changing the DID rule, in 3CX, to include a wildcard, and it is not "taking" in the settings, then that is another issue. It won't have anything to do with your provider. Have you tried using a different browser, or clearing the cache?

Your original problem, as mentioned previously, is most likely because of your rule not matching, exactly, the DID number being sent. That will have to be changed, and using the wildcard, is one way (and the most common) of accomplishing that.

Leejor you are a true champion. This simple thing has been causing me grief for the last 2 days, thankyou so much for replying the Star worked from Firefox and all rules working. Luckily its only a test PBX Thanks Again for your advice.
