The docs are full of examples on how to do an attended transfer when the person wants to talk to the caller, but what is the process for a failed attended transfer where the person does not want to speak to the caller. I can't find anything in the docs on this situation.

What is the official 3CX way of taking the failed transfer back and re-transferring it?

Hi,

Are you referring to unattended scenarios where you wish to take it back, or attended?

Attended. I have staff doing several methods and they are getting themselves into trouble (dropped calls, etc.) when people are not available. I suspect they are not doing the proper method to recover the call. I have a theory, but wanted to ask what the official method was.

Thanks.

Hello @DrainBamaged

Normally, attended calls come back to the caller if the callee miss it. Maybe users are just doing a non-attended transfer because this one is totally lost if the callee miss it.

If the destination EXT does not answer, just end the call to the destination EXT by hanging up or using the soft buttons on your deskphone.

The original caller is still on hold from before, so just take them off hold and continue your conversation.

You might have to show the users how to do it manually, depending on your deskphone model.

Thanks. That is how I taught it in the training. Appreciate the fast answer.
