A Client's on-site install is coming up with this (Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1:5480) when we go into Call Log, the same message is reported when running a backup - but the backup appears to complete successfully.

If I do an netstat -aof | findstr :5480

I can see the 3CX server listening on that port and a number of established connections.

I'm unsure what to try next - I'm loathe to reboot in case the DB is hosed.

Apologies should have said,
Version Number18.0 (Build 20)

The server forcibly rebooted and now 3CX won't start. We have a backup of sorts but I'm not sure its of any use due to the fact that we were having the above issues.

Any advice / help would be appreciated.

backup of sorts? you either do or dont. Windows or linux? Have you checked the services?

We have a backup called "FULL BACKUP" in the backup folder which is dated 2022 - which I would presume is a v18 backup.
It is Windows (OS is Windows 10)
I've checked the services and none will start as the databasse service won't start.
The Event Viewer just logs an error (Event ID 1) and a message "the process completed successfully".

Did you get an email to say the 3CX has attempted an update?

II'm fairly certain updates have installed since then, I do recall when I last logged into it it was showing it was awaiting the SQL Hotfix to prep for V20.

Im trying to ascertain why the problem happened. I think you'd be better off raising a support ticket.

I thnk I'll just build a new machine, and start from scratch, I suspect going back 2 years would be more of a hinderance than a help in any case.

Thank you very much for your help though.

Try anyway, they may be able to save your instance.

Take the Linux ISO for the new machine. Windows is not the future for 3cx.
