Hi there,

Can anyone suggest how can we setup a failover for the external IP configuration?
We have 2 internet providers, the problem is when the primary provider goes down, we manually changes Static Public Ip address in 3cx External IP configuration.
We wanted it to be auto shift to our secondary provider public IP address if ever our primary went down.

Thanks guys!

instead of static, set it to dynamic.

depending of version of 3cx - std or pro can take 6 hrs for the fqdn to be updated , in the mean time your main internet will probably be back online. Ent license is 5 mins to update the fqdn

how often does the main line goes down, and do you have remote devices.

Thanks for your reply, by the way, we are using the enterprise version
our main line doesn't goes down frequently, just want to have an idea if there are ways to have like a failover.
yes we have remote clients.

I can see that there are default STUN servers when you change to dynamic, do I need to have our own STUN servers?

Use the default stun settings, you do not need your own stun servers
