We've been getting our nightly emails about backup and restore successes. Great. However, as I upgraded to V16, I discovered that the nightly restores were actually pulling from an old backup, making the whole process rather useless. My guess is that when we installed 15.5 SP6, the UNC path for backups got overwritten on the active server. So because they both had backups to write and read, we never knew.
As a core feature of the Enterprise licensing, I think the backup/restore could be a little more robust. At the very least, perhaps the restore emails alerts could include the date backup? It's a very small thing, but could save a lot of frustration for your enterprise customers.
I'd also mention that in general, a bit more love for Failover would really be nice. The ideas thread is very squeaky wheel driven, but I'm guessing your enterprise customers are not your biggest voice, so our needs tend to be drowned out.
