I have an enterprise version with a failover. Both the active and passive have each own public IP addresses and I have a 3CX FDQN. Phones and SIP are all set to use the FDQN.
Now this evening something happened to the primary and the passive then took over as primary and the FDQN switched automatically to the passive server. But then 10 minutes later on its own or what ever the issue was the active came back online and the FQDN resolved back to the primary server. But then every so many minutes the FDQN resolved back to the Passive and this kept going back and fourth until I was able to get to my computer to log in to reset the passive back to passive.
Now in reading in various forum posts that if using a 3CX FDQN pre and post scripts aren’t needed or required. But it seems that when the passive took over here there was conflicts that the FDQN kept resolving back and fourth. So how do I solve this in case the passive takes over again and don’t have this back and fourth either for the services to stay stopped or to have the active server just power down and then manually switch everything back. So I need a script pre and post and if so can someone provide me a simple sample as I’m not very savi in scripts. Thank you!!
