Good Day,

I used this document: https://www.3cx.com/docs/failover/

and set up our active / passive systems. Active is in the local datacenter and the passive in our overseas location. On this line, here:

"Select which services you want to monitor: SIP Server, Web Server or Tunnel Server."

I selected all three services. When I click the system to become passive, 3CX failsover to the backup within a minute. It can't seem to detect the heartbeat from the active system.

What ports / protocols need to be opened between the two public IP addresses of the active and passive system so the passive system can detect the heartbeats?

Thanks.

Hello @Shadragon

As the 2 PBX installations should be identical the ports used by the systems should also be identical. The failover PBX will check that the services are up on the active server by checking the ports selected for each service. Usually this will be 5060 for the SIP Server, 5001/443 for the Web Server and 5090 for the tunnel service. If you used different ports for your installations then those ports will be used.
