Hi Guys,

i have a problem that i cannot really understand.....

i have more trunks and i need to use a group to make calls with a specific trunk.

I want that the calls made trough this specific trunk will present the "Head Number" outside.

the problem is that when i configure the Outbound caller ID in the Outbound Rules the number is different.

can i make a example with : i set up the +41 123456789 and on the calls it will be presented the +49 123456789.

Where i can change this? i´m for sure missing something.

Hello @Stefano Sorrentino

The first thing you need to is to confirm that your call is using the correct outbound rule and the PBX is sending the correct caller ID.
To do so you can check the activity log of the PBX after you increased the logging level to verbose.
If the PBX is sending the correct information then its a matter of the provider and where they are reading the caller ID from. They should be able to tell you which SIP field you need to send the number to.
Are you using a supported provider? Does the number you want to present belong to the trunk you are sending it from? If not then your provider might not like it and replacing it with something else.

Hi YianniscH, i´m really glad for your fast answer.......but the logs are a little bit cryptic to me......how i can understand the key in the log to understand the outbound rule that is using?

For the outbound rule, you will a line like this:

You will then scroll up and search for an Invite message towards the provider and check the From value. That is your outbound caller ID.
It will look something like this:

seems to be all fine....

Is +49 the country code used in your location, or by your provider? The above log seems to show caller ID with no country code, and calls using rule CH Out. Could it be that the country code is currently being added by your provider?

+49 is correctly the main Trunk contry code.
But if i add the +41 in the CH Out, nothing changes.....

Perhaps your provider does not permit the changing of the country code, so they are "correcting" it for you. Have you spoken with them about this?

not yet.......´cause the Provider for the CH Out is based in Switzerland so the country code should be already the +41....this is why i cannot understand how and when the +49 is added.....

If 3CX is adding it, and it would show in the Activity Log on the outbound call, then you would have had to deliberately put +49 in a setting, at some point. Unless your provider says otherwise, I suspect that they are adding it.

Like @leejor suggested it seems your provider does not like the outbound caller ID you are trying to send and its replacing it. I would speak to them to clarify this
