Fanvil ATA to 3cx

Guys.... am trying to configure fanvil g200s to my 3cx.
It is not registering an extension on the fanvil but if i put the trunk settings on the fanvil it is registered successfully

Has any once gotten such issue before......

What trunk settings are you using? Did you create a trunk in 3CX?

Yes, if use that trunk settings of 3cx in Fanvil it works to send fax.

From 3cx supported ATAs Fanvil G200s is not part of it but i am thinking of using an extension created in 3cx and use the details in Fanvil knowing that Fax can still be supported through G.711

Set your phone number and display name to the EXT #

Basic settings are all you have to configure to get it registered.

I don't know why you'd be creating a trunk in 3CX, then registering an ATA. Not the way the device was intended to be used. You do need to create an extension, then use those credentials in the ATA. If you plan on using this as a fax extension, then be advised that that is only (officially) supported local to the server, or over VPN. I'm not saying that it won't work, but VoIP Fax can be hit and miss. at the best of times.

I can confirm Fanvil G100S ATA works to external PBX too.

I've also successfully sent/received fax (using a Brother MFP) with the "overseas mode" enable. Brother printers have an option to reduce transmissions in an attempt to get fax over VoIP working. However, I have tested this on other printers and it's just crap. This experience has caused me to never suggest fax this way and we now use duofax.com
