We just received a new batch of Fanvil V61G phones, that are on firmware release 2.12.20.19.

3CX V20 U8 is showing that they need to be upgraded to 2.12.18.8 a little counterproductive going backwards.

Looking on Fanvil support site the firmware 3CX says we must upgrade to is rather old released August 2024, there is much newer firmwares available for the devices, The one that comes on the devices was released in July 2025, and since then there are 2 releases November 2025 and January 2026.

@3CX dev team, please fix the upgrade notication/alarm so it does not complain when you on a newer firmware release that what 3CX says we should be on. Also can you update your official firmware levels for the Fanvil devices please to be a little more current.

Please note that the supported firmwares are first tested by the vendor and then released as an officially supported version in the PBX.

Currently, what you can do is navigate from Admin >> Phones >> Options >> and enable the option "use untested - unsupported firmwares".

what happens if a ticket with 3CX needs to be opened, and unsupported phones are discovered?

Also, at the latest release of firmware, the icons on the main page are gone, and thus dont match phones at the correct firmware level. lovely.

will 3CX be updating the supported firmware anytime soon? this is an issue.
