Tried posting this under the Fanvil category however I don't seem to have permissions so the forum directed me to post here instead.
Trying to get my PA2 working to output to an amplifier however I'm having no such luck.
I've read the topic here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/fanvil-pa2-to-amplifier.80220/ this describes a user doing the same sort of thing as I want to do. They also found that they could use the 3.5mm socket to feed into the amp instead of the line out terminals. Either way though I'm not actually getting anything coming through the amp from the fanvil. I've plugged a phone into the phone to test the amp and verify it is infact working so there isn't any issues with the amp/speakers.
What I'm lead to believe and what I'm trying to achieve is have the Fanvil PA2 listens to certain multicast channels and when it receives talkback on any of the channels to output that through the 3.5mm.
I originally put together a cable which was an RCA to bare wire and used that to the terminal block (Line out) but changed to the 3.5mm cable after reading the other topic. Theoretically any sound that the fanvil receives should output to the line out I thought? no matter what I've done though nothing seems to work.
The fanvil PA2 web interface has one area where it says "enable line out" which is enabled. I've also setup the multicast channels to listen on as well. Maybe I am missing something?
Any advice would be much appreciated
The fanvil is on the proper network VLAN and I've used multicast sender/receiver software to verify that packets are working across the network.
I'm guessing there is some setting in the Fanvil web interface I have to setup however it is an incredibly tedious interface with no help from the user manual (hence the users in that forum topic found out the 3.5mm isn't just an input even though the manual never states it is both input/output).
