Hi All,

Any reason why the phone won't provision? I have setup a SBC Cluster

SBC1 - 192.168.20.51
SBC2 - 192.168.20.55

FLOAT IP: 192.168.20.53 - This IP appears in 3CX Cloud PBX

I setup a Fanvil X7A in Phones section of the controller but when booting the phone it doesn't provision?

Under the Phone IP section of setting up the phone, I entered the following information

Is that correct?

Any help would be ace.

Kind regards,
Aaron

Do you have option 66 set up in your DHCP server already that points to another prov url?

Do you see the Fanvil in the phones section of your management console?

https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/fanvil-x3-x5/

Are you on the required firmware?

So to clarify what happened, you reset the phone and it appeared in bold on your Phones page similar to the screenshot below that shows it "via SBC 192.168.20.53"?

Sorry yes, missed out the 20 and I haven't configured the DHCP 66

When you assign a phone in this way, the SBC informs the phone to go and download provisioning from your PBX over a HTTPS connection.

I will assume that since the SBC saw the phone and made it appear in your Phones page, that the provisioning notification also reached the phone .

If the phone cannot reach the PBX however, you will notice that it does not provision (so not really related to the SBC).

This is what you need to look at now: whether the phone is allowed out of your firewall to reach the PBX.
To do this, simply provision one of the phones by manually entering the provisioning URL in its web UI.
You might want to monitor the traffic via packet capture to see if the phone managed to establish a TLS connection towards your PBX

Be careful though: Fanvil have a restriction whereby if you have any special characters in the extension name, or in any of the BLFs, they may reject this and fail to provision entirely!

What do I need to put into Option 66?

You dont really need to use option 66 unless you want to automate the provisioning but you take the provisioning link from under one of your phone extensions and paste it in there.

Make sure your Fanvil is on the latest supported FW too and that you have nothing on your network blocking multicast.

Hello.

I want to automate provisioning of the phones. I have tried to manually provision this phone but does not appear in the PBX

Here is the log from the phone.

Any ideas?
Firstly you should remove this log as it contains a link to download the config file.

Does your 3CX pass the firewall test and is your Fanvil on the supported firmware?

I would also do a regenerate on your extension because I had time to download the config file and have a read because i'm nosey :D

The firewall passes the test and the phone is on the latest version from 3cx website..

What is the network topology like where your SBC is?

What network equipment have you got?

HP Aruba Switchs
10g fibre between switches and 1g between pcs
The telephones are going on Unifi Switches over 10g fibre.. Network side is okay!

Let's start with the following if I may:

- phone model
- firmware version
- whether you use modified templates or not
- whether the time and date on the phone is correct prior to provisioning
