Fanvil Template - DSS Pages

Hi All,

i've got some Fanvil X4 phones and notice that without configuring any BLFs I already have 5 pages of empty DSS keys.

Is there any way to reduce this?

Has anyone done this by modifying the template, and if so, how?

We have some X4 in production. We just populated the fields for the user with their frequently used EXTs or numbers. Looked better than empty.

There is way to reduce the number of the number of the BLF pages, but you need to remember the following:
1. Modified/custom template is not supported by 3CX. So, you will modify and use it on your own risk and in case some problems we will not be able to provide you the full support.
2. The custom templates are not automatically updating during the 3CX PBX update. So, to have it always up to date, you need to manually update it after each PBX update.
3. Reducing of the number of BLF pages will reduce the number of the BLF keys too. So, now you can have up to 30 BLF keys = 6 keys on each per page. Each reduced page will remove the 6 BLF keys.

If you are agree with these and prefer to modify the template instead of fill it up with some useful keys - you can create the custom Fanvil template (fanvil.ph.xml) using this guide and reduce the number of the following parameter (default is 5):
<FuncKey_Page_Num>5</FuncKey_Page_Num>

Hi Aram,

thanks for that. I'll have to go with how the customer wants it. If they want me to reduce the pages, i'll have to reduce the pages. Otherwise, i can do what Agidi and fill the pages with stuff.

I have posted it in the ideas page to be able to reduce this number.

It would be good if 3CX could find a way to modify the Fanvil template function keys based on how many BLFs i've configured under the EXT. Here's hoping my post gets upvoted.
