Hello @Nick Galea ,

I was planning to replace the X series with the V one, but after ordering the phones, I realized that only V67 is not supported despite both US Fanvil distributors listing it as compatible with 3CX.
Do you have any plans to add this phone in the future, or do I need to return both V67 I just received?

Here is a quick test I made using 3CX:
Fanvil V67 on 3CX

Benefits of having V67:
- a good replacement for X7A
- camera integrated for video calls and video intercom devices that can connect with 3CX (I was able to add the 3CX.apk and the test for video calls was great)
- great looking hardware

The phone can integrate with 3CX using the X7A template, it's also auto-discovered by the SBC, but it will be nice to have it officially supported.

Please consider it in the future as I see users mentioning similar requests in the forum:

Hello 3CX support,

I really appreciated if you can provide any feedback to my question above. As mentioned, I really like the V67, and it can bring a lot of options having video capabilities build in, but if 3CX has no plans in upcomming future, I need to send the phones back.

This V67 phone connects verry well with 3CX though autodiscovery mode (see highlited below) where GrandStream GXP-2135 (which is mentioned on 3rd party EOL) on the latest 3cx firmware is not supported.

Sorry for pointing this out, but it's confusing :D.

Regarding your question, this is correct, the V67 is not supported, and you are provisioning with the template for the v65, so it is not showing as unsupported, but this is incorrect and not be done this way.

Use only the supported IP phones with the correct templates and firmware version, also provision behind a 3cx SBC when using 3cx hosted instances, and even if not, a 3cx SBC is always recommended with all cloud-based 3cx system installations.

Regarding the Grandstream, the actual 3cx supported firmware version is 1.0.11.35.

Thank you, @Charles_3CX !

So then it's best to send the V67 back, or in the future, will this change? I am asking this because I see some Android phones still being supported.

Regarding GrandStream, thank you for your note, but it came with a higher version, and it's mentioned not to downgrade it below 1.0.11.40:

We don’t have information on which IP phones will be supported in the future, I’m afraid.

Regarding the Grandstream firmware though I suggest contacting the vendors support for advice on using specific firmware and whether downgrading will be possible.
