3cx Version: 16.0.611
Fanvil Version 1.2.1 and (1.2.3 Manual Update)

Hello,
We have Added to the 3cx System 30 new X1S Phones and we have updated to the Available Version from the 3cx interface. After the Update 3cx Displays Not Supported Firmware.

The Phones have the following problems
  • Pick up calls from Group do not have Sound
  • Transfer Calls from Internal and External Lines do not have Sound
  • Only after rebooting the Phones they are able to have sound again. if one of the above 2 steps happens again the phone needs to be rebooted again.
Please advise thank you very much .

Hi George,

I'm not sure I understood what version they are running at the moment.

They should all be on V1.2.1 and the ones that are not currently on that version should appear in red and give you the warning.

All phones are on Version 1.2.1 at this time.

We have tested with version 1.2.3 with 1 device to see if the problems was solved.

The following photo is with the Version 1.2.1 1588083659696.png

Hi George,

It appears you receive the warning because the phone is not reporting its firmware version

Can you log on to the phone UI directly and check the version number?
Grab a screenshot of the version if possible from there

Thanks. If you delete the phone from the extension, and reset the phone to factory, will it appear in the management console as new?

If it appears, does it show a firmware version? (before you assign it anywhere)

Yes the Phone appear and the Version is 1.2.1

Ok try to select it and click "Assign Ext"

This should take you to the extension page now, press ok , and the PBX will send the phone an update message to configure itself.

After a minute or so the phone should configure automatically and come online.

Check again to see if it reports the firmware version now.

Avoid using custom templates when you do this, to ensure it is configured the same way as we tested it.

Again we have the same Issue:

Ok we need to see what happens after provisioning so I will sugggest a way to capture the traffic.

  1. Open a second tab to your management console and go to Activity Log, click on capture
  2. Factory reset the phone
  3. Go to the first tab, navigate to phones as soon as the phone is ready again
  4. Provision the phone, wait for it to register
  5. When all is done, go to the 2nd tab and stop the capture and download it.
Inside this capture we should be able to see the user agent the phone sends when it has been freshly reset, and compare it to the user agent we get after it has been provisioned. For some reason it does not appear to send a firmware version, and this should be able to prove it.
