I was hoping someone may be able to offer some advice – I’ve recently installed a number of Fanvil X210 handsets for a customer.

In general, everything has gone very smoothly….

However, I’m having some real trouble getting any real functionality when using a Plantronics CS530 headset with the X210’s

  • I can’t seem to initiate a call directly from the headset – i.e. get a dial tone.
  • I can’t answer an incoming call by pressing the function button on the head set – doing this send the caller to voicemail.
  • The whole process seems very clunky
Any advice would be very much appreciated, I’m pulling my hair out a little bit…

Many thanks,
David

None of this seems to be 3CX related so I'd try reaching out to Plantronics support. Typically they have configuration guides on the settings and accessories needed for their headsets to work with the phones. Sometimes they have different EHS cables for different model phones

No, you're dead right - its definitely a Plantronics issue - sorry to waste everyone's time :)

Just in case anyone arrives here looking for the same answer:

You need the additional APD-80 cable for the Plantronics CS530 (not the standard cable)

Then it's a case of enabling EHS in the phone settings Web Phone --> Settings --> Media Settings --> Enable EHS Type.

Obvious really :)
