Fanvil X4 FW: SP5 or higher version is required!

The 3CX console is alerting me to a firmware upgrade for our Fanvil phones.
But when I go to perform the firmware upgrade, it tells me "Fanvil X4 FW: SP5 or higher version is required!"

What does this mean?

Hello @Gav

It means that in order to run the specific firmware your PBX must be SP5 (build number 15.5.13103.5 ) or higher as the firmware was tested with that version and the template for that version.

Just out of curiosity, is there anywhere that'll tell me the specific features on the Fanvil phones that are enabled as part of this upgrade?
Purely for reasons of deciding whether it's worth it to upgrade 3CX and the Fanvil phones.

There is no change log for phone firmwares changes as these come from the phone vendor. Generally each version includes bug fixes and improvements over the previous version as well as support for added functionality.

Hi,

Just thought i'd give you some info as i've just put in Fanvil X4 and i've just upgraded to the latest FW version on the phone.

I havent looked at the logs.. But, the only noticable thing I can see is that the wallpaper on the phone changed from the hot air balloon to black. Which I welcomed!
