Phone: Fanvil X4U, firmware 2.4.12.
PBX: 18.0 Update 2 (314)
Template: I'm assuming most up to date, as PBX doesn't show any available template updates
OS: Rasbian image as required by 3CX instructions

Issue 1) BLF lights for extensions do not show when said extension is busy/DND/on a call, etc. The light is always green. Receptionist cannot determine if someone is already on a call.
Issue 2) Attempting an attended transfer to an extension (either through number dial or BLF) results in the call being immediately transferred to the called extension, and the person doing the transfer gets dropped from the call. This means the receptionist cannot announce the call in the normal way.

Resolutions attempted: Restarting the PBX. Power cycling the phones. Rebooting the phones from the PBX. Re-provisioning the phones.

Thoughts?

Hi @Dynamic Networks

1) BLFs do not show DND or any of the statuses. They only show call state: Steady Green = Idle, Flashing Red = Ringing, Stable Red = Engaged. We often get complaints about this not working when someone's phones are in STUN mode. SBC and LAN will practically never have such issues due to the way the networking is done.

2) This depends on what you want:

For BLF transfers (ie. you hit the BLF while you are in a call), you need to first edit your extension, go to your provisioning tab, and look at the setting called "Select transfer method used (Blind or Attended) when you press a DSS key". Changing this option requires a reprovisioning of the phone to push the setting.

For manual transfers ensure you are using this method:

- Press "Xfer"
- Type the extension
- Either press "Xfer" again for Blind
- Or press "Dial" for Attended, speak to the other person, and press "Xfer" to complete the transfer

Thank you for the information. Will discuss with client and return if there continue to be problems.

Network is not STUN or SBC: local PBX, local phones.

Sure thing, just make sure to inspect the network setup in case the phones are not on the same exact LAN as the PBX (ie. you use internal NAT, or VLANs etc) which might lead to some issues.

Let us know if you have any additional questions and we will be glad to assist!
