Good Day,

I have three brand new Fanvil X4U-V2 router phones and I am unable to set them up as router phones. I have installed firmware 2.12.15.6 and have repeatedly reset to factory. The phone shows up in the “Phone” tab in bold as expected. I used the WebClient to add the phone and it allows me to select it as a router phone. It advises me to restart the phone and that it should be provisioned. However, it does not provision.

3CX v18 Update 7 (Build 312)
Fanvil X4U-V2 v 2.12.15.6

I can see the phone unregistered under the “SIP Trunks” tab. It shows no Public or Local IP.

I have configured Fanvil X5U-V2 and X6U-V2 in the pass without any issues.

What I do noticed differently form when I did it before is that after adding the router phone, it popped up with the login details for the phone. It’s not doing that at all any more.

Thanks
Alexander

Hi Alexander,

If it popped up asking for login details then it means this worked partially, but something went wrong.

Kindly delete the phone from the extension and add it again, and as soon as it is ready on the 3CX side

- immediately factory reset the Fanvil
- while its restarting, check the 3CX blacklist to ensure the Fanvil's public IP is not being blocked.

This will ensure that whatever it remembered from before will be forgotten, and it will fetch fresh information from the RPS server.

Let us know if this works.

Very interesting! That worked!

Thank you!

Glad to hear! I think what happened was that at some point the phone was added again (which creates a new RPS entry) but the phone had already been reset and still remembered the old one.
