Hi, We are going to migrate to the new phone system in a few weeks and have tested a few phones including Fanvil x6. With this we liked it but had issues with some features including DHCP, the worse being the searching of names in local address book. We referred to Fanvil support and have asked us to update with latest update which is a 1.4.4.2. Problems have been solved but this update is currently not supported by 3CX. Latest being 1.2 if I remember well. Would anyone have any experience in knowing how slowly (or quickly) these updates are provided by 3CX and if this unsupported update would affect the core functionality of the phone with the system. So far the phone seems to connect and work ok. I just need to decide if to go ahead with the phone purchase for the company and do not want to end up with a set of phones which do not work either with a firmware which is needs updating but supported or with one which works but is currently unsupported by 3CX. Thank you for any advice.

Hi, if you have fully tested your phones with 3cx and all seem to work fine , you don't need to change all the phone you have but of course 3CX support will always say the same:
Device not supported = no help from 3CX.

I have lot of devices unsupported by 3CX working on my customers install, most of the time you need to set manually instead of having a template.
If you are at ease with all the settings you need to apply to make devices working fine that's not a problem to use not supported device (if of course tested before)

3CX also can take self decision about support a phone , a brand or other sip device , so you can buy something supported and 1 month later the same is no longer.

Thank you so much.

Thank you again for the reply, it is very useful. Thank you!

Can anyone forward me a link to download the 1.2.5 firmware version? One of our X6's has managed to update to the later version somehow and is playing up...
