Solved Fanvil X7A no DND indication

Hi,

I have a Fanvil X7A handset with latest supported firmware 2.2.0.166. Problem is that when phone is put in DND mode either by softbutton on handset home screen or via Webclient the extension goes in to DND mode however handset gives no indication it is in DND.

On the Fanvil X6U handsets the DND softkey icon turns RED and a small red circle with white line appears on the top status bar. On this X7A handset nothing changes on the display however webclient shows extension is in DND and it behaves as though it is DND.

Anyone come across this issue? This is the only X7A I have ever used so not sure if this is just a limitation of the handset or possible firmware version issue.

If you notice the screen of the device you will see there is a visual indicator on the DND icon

I have the row of icons exactly as per shown above however pressing the purple DND icon does not toggle between purple and red. It is always purple even though extension status in 3CX toggles on and off when you press it.

Ok in this case (assuming a quick reboot did not help), I would suggest to perform a factory reset on the phone, then reprovision it normally.

The one I tested behaved as expected, so I would speculate maybe something got temporarily stuck on your specific device.

Thanks for that, rebooting numerous times and reprovisioning did nothing. Following your advise I have done a factory reset and reprovisioned and appears to be working now

As a side subject do you know if this handset supports the 3CX phonebook. If I go to "Contacts" I just get "Network Phone Book is empty". On the X6U's I get a listing of all 3CX extensions.

Hi,

Glad to hear! And yes, it does support the 3CX Phonebook.

Tap the green phonebook icon, then make sure on the top right hand side of the screen you tap the "Contacts" icon, not the Network contacts.
