Hi everybody!

I've just deployed 20 Fanvil X7c (still needs to deploy 15), and none of the phones have a good time on it (1 hour off), even if it's properly setup on the Hosted by 3CX( Halifax time zone). All phones are provisionned by STUN. I've tried to change the config via the web page but I'm not able to do so.

I've seen also in the phone that the location is setup at Santiago Chile. After changing that, the time is good. Is there a easier way to fix this than changing all the phones, and to make sure I don't have to do this on each deployments? It's also the first time I'm using Fanvil, was using Grandstream before.

It sounds like a template issue. If the correct time zone is set in 3CX then that's not translating correctly into the template. I would make sure you are fully up to date on both firmware and template in 3CX.

Are you on a DST timezone by any chance?

Thanks for your reply! Sadly all the phones are on the latest firmware (2.4.11), v18 of 3CX, hosted by 3CX, but I don't seem to have any option to change/check templates....

I'm in New-Brunswick, so I should be one hour late than Quebec, but currently having the same time, even if the Time Zone is setup for Halifax.

Yeah, we have the same issue here. Always an hour early. Sounds like a DST issue.

Were you able to find a solution, or I have to change all the phones manually? As soon as I change the location, it works fine..

I just set the timezone 1h later so that it is the right time on the phones. This was fixed a year or so ago but then it seems it came back.

Ok will try that until it is fixed, thanks a lot!

Hi @Nickola Thibault

During testing everything seemed to be working correct for me. I wanted to check the issue you were facing so I setup a V18 with the timezone like so:

The phones are all set to use global timezone on their extension's provisioning tab.
I sent a reprovision command to all the phones and they all updated their clocks

I then googled for local time in Halifax and from what I see my X7C time matches the result I got from Google.

From what I can see, Halifax and New-Brunswick time is the supposed to be the same.
If what I understood is correct, then the phones are showing the intended time (04:14 at time of testing).
As a local resident can you confirm that what I saw is factually correct?

i.e that both these regions are normally GMT-4 (although currently GMT-3 due to DST being in effect and the clock is now forward by one hour)

Hi John,

Sorry for the delay, I was out of the office. I can confirm you have the correct setup for the timeline. I have the same setup on my end. From the 3CX webpage and PBX, I have the good time, it's only on the Fanvil that it's not working properly..

Thanks!

Hi Nickola,

The official firmware is now 2.4.12 however, I have tested this with a 2.4.11 too and the time is indeed correct on the Fanvil.

My phone is set to use global time, and 3CX global time is set to -4 Canada (Halifax, St John) on a "Hosted by 3CX" machine.

Basically, I'm confirming that those settings along with the current firmware and current template should result in the correct behavior.

Edit: I have also sent you a PM in case you wish to look into further
