Hello everyone,
on the receiving faxes with 3CX, we must use the Windows Server FAX: and then installing 3CX be made on a workstation running Windows Server?
You can send faxes to different email addresses?
In that case, we need a dedicated line for each recipient email?

Thank you,
David.

hi
What you can do is the following for now

use the concept of DID's on your line if you have available:
Set for example a number of DID's that each forward the call to the fax to email of extension XXX

1 did will forward to the fax extension which then forwards to email of A
2nd did will forward to the fax extension which then forwards to email of B

etc etc

FOR EXAMPLE:
So you can publish the following -

For accounting faxes send to this number 22222221 which is a did associated to the main line number 22222220 that forwards to ext 100 which is [email protected]. That fax will go to the user's mailbox that works in your accounts dept

Hi there

I am also trying to receive faxes with 3cx fax server, but failed to get faxes.

I have a DID number 81234567 which is used to receive faxes. I try to follow the manual, as below.

1. Voice Mail & Fax delivery settings
Fax Delivery Settings - set as default, FAX number is 888, and FAX Defult Delivery Address is my own email account.

2. Configure the DID number
Go to 'Route FAX Calls' -> 'All Calls'.

However, it failed to receive faxes.
Any advice?

Thank you

What Are you using to receive faxes? Voip Provider or a Gateway?

Make and model needs to be specified -
If it is a VOip Provider there are some Voip Providers that are T38 compliant that work with 3CX.
You have to check whether the entity you are using understands T38.

Thanks for your help, Nicky.

For the choice between gateway and voip provider, do you mean the selection under the "Source" of the DID number.
(DID number -> Source -> VOIP Gateway or VOIP Provider).

Normally, do gateways, such as Patton and Vegastream, support FAX?

Thanks

Hi

Yes, Patton and Vega do support fax.

They are both reliable brands for faxing be it with analog or BRI / PRI lines.

NB. If opting for Patton please use foirmware version 4.2 dated March 2008. Do not use any of the more recent firmwares for the time being.
