Fax Server on cloud hosted server

Hello,

I'm trying to understand how 3CX fax server would work on a cloud-hosted server. I went to the Fax Server settings and added the DID for Fax this rings but the server doesn't answer the call.

What is your setup for the incoming trunk

Is this a sip trunk, if so does your provider support fax (t38)

We use FAX servers in the cloud all the time (and FAX machines on premise via VPN tunnel) there is no real difference to an on premise in my estimation.

Have you actually tried sending a FAX ?

We are using Flowroute. I'm not sure if this line supports incoming fax calls.

It may need to be specifically turned on, on the platform itself. Alternately use G711 Pass-through.
