Feature: v18 Client - Auto change status when idle

Please bring back the feature to change the status if a user is idle for x minutes.

Hi @HExSM,

You're referring to the status change in the Windows Client. The 3CX Desktop App (Electron App) works much like the Web Client. You can still download the Windows Client from your Welcome Email.

yes I know it's working on the old Windows client. I found this thread https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/auto-change-status-when-idle.63333/ where @StefanW wrote, that it's not implemented in the web client, because there is no reliable way to manage idleness from all browsers. But with the 3CX Desktop App you don't have multiple browsers to support. So it would be possible to implement that feature there.

For the time being this is not on the roadmap, so I would suggest you ask a 3CX Partner to create a thread in the 'Ideas' section about this in the right category.

I see. Well I thought it's in the v16 client, so it should be also in the v18 client. We tried to let the employees set the status manually to Away, but it was then often forgotten to set the status back to Available. But yes, I can also ask a partner to add it to ideas, even if the feature already existed.
