Final word on AD integration

what is the final word on integrating AD with 3CX either Linux or Windows

1. What is the MAX you can get
2. Can it be done on a Linux install or it has to be a Windows install
3. What is the bare min can be done

What do you mean by "final word" on AD?

Office 365 is supported and Exchange Server too. Those integrations uses Azure AD in the Cloud or ADDC locally.

Can AD direct with 3CX with a fully functional integration?
what if I'm not hosting in Azure and the AD is on a different subnet?
can I integrate on a Linux install?

No, AD doesn't integrate with 3CX. Only Exchange for the Voicemail IVR and contacts sync.

Those do work on Linux installation apparently but I never tested it. I only know for sure that the O365 works on Linux.

This is simply about using GPOs and Roaming profiles so the softphone app is always provisioned after the first login. Read the post #2 in the thread.

Like I said, you can import extensions from Office 365 and contacts from O365 or Exchange.

Active Directory was removed from v16 if my memory serves. Replaced by O365 integration, which is getting more and more common.

What is the purpose of your AD integration need?
