I recently replaced my Cisco router because of Errors I was receiving. I selected a RV 340 because I have successfully used this series of a cisco router with errors on other 3CX deployments.

I have confirmed that SIP ALG is disabled on the firewall configuration screen and configured all of the appropriate ports. However, here are the results I get.

  • resolving 'stun-us.3cx.com'... done
  • resolving 'stun2.3cx.com'... done
  • resolving 'stun3.3cx.com'... done
  • resolving 'sip-alg-detector.3cx.com'... done
  • testing 3CX SIP Server... done
    • stopping service... done
    • detecting SIP ALG... detected (received 7c0c52e1 ≠ 9af17011) (How to resolve?)
    • testing port 5060... done
    • starting service... done
  • testing 3CX Tunneling Proxy... done
    • stopping service... done
    • testing port 5090... done
    • starting service... done
  • testing 3CX Media Server... done
    • stopping service... done
    • testing ports [9000..9255]... done
      • testing port 9000... done

Everything passes except the ALG test.

As I explained earlier, SIP ALG has been disabled on the router and I am not sure where I go from here.

Ironically SIP ALG passed with my old router but I had intermittent failures under the media server.

Any thoughts? I have a SG300 Series Switch and a SF300 Series switch in the mix too.

some of those you will have to disable dos and spi to completly get rid of sip alg.
