Hi,

I have set up 3CX and it's a great system and inbound calls work but outbound calls do not. I am pretty sure my 3CX configuration is fine as when I call a number outside of 3CX I get 'Forbidden'. I assume this means that it is getting to the server but basically not letting you through.

I am using Twilio and have setup an Elastic SIP Trunk. The guide on the 3CX website is not great but my Termination settings I think are setup correctly. I have got an IP Access Control list setup but I believe this may be the problem.

My 3CX system is hosted on Debian 9 on AWS. For this I just copied the public IP of the server however it asks for a 'CIDR' network address. I am not familar with this and was wondering if the CIDR address and the public address of the server are the same.

My credentials are also setup on Twilio and 3CX.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

I would first check the 3CX Activity Log (Verbose) to see how far the call gets, and if there is a response (and what it is) from your provider.

Hi there,

I get 'Dialed Number (Number I am trying to call) belongs to forbidden country (blocked country code = +44)

How can I solve this?

Does the Activity Log show the call completing to your provider? Could this be a message that they are "playing" to you? 3CX does have the ability to block calls to certain country codes, you would have had to allow these calls when you first set up the PBX. If you did, and 3CX is blocking the call, it won't reach your provider.

Hi there,

Thank you for your help. I sorted this out by going to Security > Allowed Country Codes
Because my provider has more than 1 area code and the number I was trying to call was different to this, it would not go through.

Thanks!
