HI
We have a scenario where multiple users use the same phone, we have tried a few work-arounds with outbound rules but it is quite a process...

It would be nice to have a feature that when the users makes a call they will be asked to enter an authorization code in order for the call to be connected, and that this code is logged against a table with the user's name linked to it and that the CDR stream sends this info so it can be logged in CDR stream capturing software(in our case MAN3000). Then when a report is generated we will be able to see which user made which calls from that one particular extension.

The code also needs to be masked(encrypted) on the phone so that when the next user goes to the call history that the code is not displayed (maybe masked by ***** or not shown at all)

You can utilise the PIN protect IVR.

The users will need to call 7777 and then authorise the call with their Voicemail PIN Number.

Their voicemail PIN will not be exposed as they will be entering it in the IVR which asks for this.

But, it will not show on the reports.

It works but we still only have one PIN for the extension to be used by multiple users, it doesn't solve our problem

You can use hotdesking on the 3CX Pro and Enterprise edition. That way that can each log in to their own extension account on a common phone.

Thanks for your replies (we are using 64 SC Enterprise) ....the environment and the users we use this in the logging in and out of hot desking is not an option....is there a way to let the hot desk extension sign out automatically
