Hi,

We have 3cx professional, and I was hoping to reply to a post regarding the new API in v20 - however, where partner registered the license, they linked the email address as the owner back to them.

So I'm just wondering how this works on the forums now.

Or should a partner always link the license to the email address of the end customer ?

In our case, I'd normally link any licenses to a generic address for the company (so that if one of the team leave, any licenses etc are not affected) - just wondering what to do here - I'm posting this as I can see a couple of other people have asked and Natassia has reached out to them

The license should be registered to the license holder. If you are the holder of a commercial (non-free) license and are reselling a SaaS service, for example, you may provide your email address. However, if the license is free, it does not belong to you and must be registered under the client's email address. Please note that if you are the holder of a commercial license and have provided your email, you are responsible for relaying any information from 3CX to your clients regarding the end users.

Note: A user with the role of System Administrator or Owner can modify the email address associated with the license via Dashboard > License. This makes sense when you think about it; if they have the role of System Owner or System Admin, they are likely the owner of the license as well.
