We use a sbc as we like the functionality and ease of provisioning etc etc.
Main reception puts her phone to lUnch and she has a rule setup for lunch and should forward her calls to other extensions. Does it work? no. No matter what we set the forwarding rules setup in 3cx do not fire her phone still rings and no forwarding occurs so I manually have to add other extentions to the call group and then delete them off again - crazy way to work. More concerning, we are going through academy to be a reseller and have a order of 35 handsets to build a system around - we need to be able to rely on the system.

Set up a rule where? What is forwarding rule set up to be? Have you set the rule up in her "Lunch" status - im assuming this is what she does when she goes to lunch? Change the status to Lunch?

what is call flow? Is she in a group? a queue? or does incoming go directly to EXT?

Please confirm the setup of routing of the calls.

Call comes in, goes to reception phone (not part of a group / queue) and normally reception answers it and forwards the call on

How have you configured Lunch ?

Reception changes the status to 'Lunch' and no forwarding - is this correct. ?

Maybe of some help - https://www.3cx.com/3cxacademy/videos/intermediate/configuring-extensions/

Can you show us a screen shot of the forwarding rule for LUNCH and the Ring Group configuration ?

Can you confirm the extension is set to lunch?

From the screen cap it looks like an "available type" (my term) status has been set? Notice the "If I do not answer calls within: __ seconds. Forward internal calls to:" line. So the phone should ring for 20 seconds as configured. Try setting that to 1 second, or configuring a different status as lunch...the "DND type" statuses don't have the timeout line.
