Hi All,

We're having trouble with call forwarding to mobile's and the caller ID that is displayed.

There are two methods in use here to forward to mobile, (1) the 'ring my mobile simultaneously' option and (2) forward to mobile on 'away', or similar status.

I found in another thread someone mentioned that it is to do with the outbound SIP trunk option From : User Part.

If one sets this to: "Outbound Caller ID" then the correct Caller ID (original caller) is displayed in scenario (1), but not in scenario (2).

If one sets this to "Originator Caller ID" then the correct Caller ID is displayed only in scenario (2), not scenario (1).

Does anyone have experience with the Deutsche Telekom NGN SIP Trunk and can point me towards the correct settings?

I've experimented with a bunch of other values for this From: User Part field, but these are the only ones which seem to work some of the time.

Thanks
Nico

I'm going to assume that in scenario 2, the extension DID, or the office "main" number is showing when using Originator Caller ID . Recalling past posts regarding this sort of issue, It seems that the set, doing the forwarding is considered the originator. Perhaps someone has found a combination that will work for you, but I suspect that getting both scenarios to work the way you want, without a change in the way 3CX handles this, may be a problem.

I actually had to modify my Remote Party ID - Calling Party: User Part to "OriginatorCallerID" and this fixed the issue for me, however this was for Bandwidth.com (US) Trunk, and I only found it after much trial and error, so I hope that helps.
