Using Google cloud.
What 3CX service can I restart to force FQDN to update to the latest dynamic IP address?
I have restarted the VM server but it did not make a difference.
It is pointing to the dynamic IP address when I first installed it.
I had it turned off for a 3 days
I can access management concole using IP.

It seems to be updating on other networks but has not propagated to my network.
Will it always be marked Red when it is using dynanic IP?
With Google VM, you cannot get static ip, right?

Yes, Google does offer static IP, tho I think they aren't free.

As for your FQDN, DNS records of 3CX FQDN have a TTL of 6 hours on Std and Pro license. Enterprise is 5 minutes for quicker failover.

Some ISP DNS are pretty slow to update, you can try setting your router to use Google DNS which are usually faster to update.

And yes, dynamic IP will always be red.

Hi Tony,

If it has not propagated on your network then it has to do with the DNS server you are currently using (or the DNS cache).

You can do an nslookup mypbx.3cx.com 8.8.8.8 from command line at any time to confirm that the PBX has done its job of updating the FQDN DNS entry, but you must also flush the DNS on your local network otherwise you will likely be resolving to the old address.

As suggested above, you can use the Google DNS on your network if your ISP's DNS is too slow to update. Your provider might not be the issue, your local DNS (ie. on your modem or firewall) might be caching the old IP.
