Hi guys,

Anyone had this before? Our FQDN was released after 3CX Netherlands changed our license. I got a refund because 4 user licenses are free now (I used to have a standard 4 user annual license), but for some reason my FQDN isn't working anymore...
If I log into the customer-portal I do see 'released' with FQDN and FQDN IP.

Is this because they changed my license type? I called with 3CX Netherlands but they couldn't help me :-(
Maintenance expiry date is 31 dec 2018 so shouldn't have been released.

Any idea how I could solve this? I don't want to create a new free license and setup a new Google Cloud instance and reconfigure our whole PBX (as 3CX Netherlands told me to do).

Thanks.

Regards,
Sebastien

Hello @SebastienD

How was your licence changed? Was the same key changed to a different number of simultaneous calls or version? Or was a different key used?
If the FQDN was released from the licence you will need to re-install the PBX as the FQDN is bound to the key only during the installation.
You will need to create a backup without including the licence and FQDN information. You will then have to un-install the PBX and re-install it using your key and FQDN.

Hi @YiannisH_3CX,

Thank you for your reply. I don't know how they did it. I don't see any change of my license and my license key is still the same. The only thing I see is that they refunded the amount and cancelled the yearly automatic paypal payment.

Do you have any article or tutorial which describes this process? It took my quite some time to setup our PBX so I don't want to screw things up ;-) My PBX is hosted on Google Cloud. So I guess I use the PBX Express with my current license key? Can I use the same FQDN again? Maybe it's best that I use my own FQDN as a subdomain of my own domainname so this wont happen again...

Sebastien

Please send me a personal message with your licence key and FQDN to check if the key is still bound to the FQDN or not.Perhaps you are facing a different issue which can be resolved without re-installing.
