I'm checking out for a PBX for a small sportsclub on the countrysite and the choice is between 3CX and Freepbx ( asterisk) . I love 3CX much more for the simplified of connection of the app.

I guess the free version is enough for the sports club . The only thing they really need is the digital receptionist to connect the people that call to the right sport sections.

For football press 1
Floorball press 2
and so on.

The free version include 12 users but can more than one person log into same user account?

For the moment they don´t want to spend money for a PBX.

I've setup a test server with 3CXLinux for them to evaluate. And have one server with Freepbx as well but for me the choice is clear but it´s for the sports club to choice which they would like to go for.

Right now they have a single phone in the clubhouse without any employee so no one answer the phone. Maybe 10 calls per week so you can understand it´s not much call.

3CX is unlimited users. What you see about 12 is the recommended number of users for a 4SC system, running on the recommended specs.

However, nothing prevents you from creating as many users as you wish. The only limit will be the simultaneous calls (which includes external AND internal calls.)

If it's about 10 calls a week, you cannot go Hosted by 3CX as it will not reach the free hosting minimum usage. I would recommend you host on Lightsail or DigitalOcean, or even on-premise if you prefer. Otherwise, you can purchase a Pro 4SC (really cheap) and host it free for the first year without minimum usage requirements.
