Solved Free License?

Hi,

I've been reading a lot here – thanks for all the help so far.

I'm a bit concerned as I read about differences between free and paid Standard License. We're using a Trial License so far but don't need more than 4 or 8 simultaneous calls and we don't need the pro features.

Is there any other difference between the free and the paid Standard License? Or is it a full Standard License?
What about the G.729 codec and the number of Trunks? Any restrictions as it's not paid?

The Free version is simply the Standard edition at 4SC (v15.5) or 8SC (v16+).

Other than that, the only difference is that when features change (like with v16), a Free version stays free then might looses access to some feature vs a commercial Std that would be upgraded to prevent feature loss. Ex.: v16 changed call recording and call queues to Pro and Ent editions only. Free customer lost those features but commercial (paid) customers were upgraded to Pro license automatically to prevent feature loss and prepare the customer for the next year prices.

Thanks! And as we could not register to a free license directly – the trial will change to the free standard license after the trial period automatically? Or do we have to contact a reseller?

The trial starts out as a 16 SC Pro license for 40 days. After 40 days it reverts to a 16SC standard license for the rest of the year. And then it will auto-renew as a 8SC standard license from then on.
