I am trying to configure a generic SIP trunk to work with my local provider who uses Momentum Telecom to supply their trunks. I have set everything up as instructed but instead of sending the [email protected] it tries to register [email protected] and returns a 404 not found message. How do I get it to register correctly?

I sounds as if you have the 3CX trunk number where the AuthID should be. Without seeing how you have configured, it's just a guess.

Check the outbound parameters , what do you have in 'Contact : User Part' and 'From : User Part'

I have ' "AuthID" authentication' for both.

Last summer we had a situation where a trunk worked for about a month and then stopped. We dug into and found 3CX wasn't sending the password. Short version: delete and recreate the trunk to start from scratch and see if that helps.
