Generic Sip.. Version 18..

New to 3cx

Trying to install sip trunks from Momentus Telecom...

I've spent a good 10 hours learning your software and while its nice..

You have really wasted my time by not being up front about only supporting "APPROVED"

SIP providers.. It was not outlined in your terms of service.. I am dealing with a out of service
customer with 25 did's with a vodavi sbx320 ip pbx that crapped the bed during a thunderstorn.
I have 38 year in telecom and IT. Many of them with major carriers and one as the Network Ops
manager with a nationwide LD Carrier.

Where does it say in this guide to choose a 3cx APPROVED sip provider!

Anyone with any integrity that can offer me a solution besides sangoma?

Let me guess, you can't find the Generic template? Have you chosen a Hosted by 3CX? If so, move it to self-hosted and it will be there.

Also, the providers they "support" only means that they test and assist with configuration for those. You can still use any trunk provider you like, just not on Hosted.

I was offered 2 choices One had an SBC border controller and one that was stand alone
I will rummage around on the 3cx site, my understanding after I stated looking was version 18
no longer offers generic and it has to be version 16 for generic sip trunks but I
haven't been able to find it.. I may have to source it from an "alternate" s

That's not correct. Self-hosted is under the Generic country:


But as ConceptsWeb stated the 3CX-hosted servers/environment does require 3CX approved trunks. And StartUP is a shorter list.
