Hi all
Our client has his sip trunk out service from Gradwell, and is using 3CX PBX software on his windows server. At the moment line registration isn't working for some unknown reason - all port forwarding is set up as it should be, and we believe that no authentication is required. The server logs are as follows:

Can anyone shed any light on what could be causing this??

I know it's naughty but <bump> :(

The SIP provider in question has stated that we have a product that requires registration and that we'll require an upgrade to allow this to happen. We've got no problem with paying the difference but we have if it turns out to not be needed.

We configured the connection to Gradwell as a generic trunk under 3CX which from the manual I thought meant that 3CX would not attempt any authentication / registration?

So confused!

Any help greatly appreciated.

Jim, just a quick reply - we've only used Gradwell in terms of logging in as a centrix extension (long story involving a previous supplier). We just setup as if it were a generic SIP trunk - but most definitely did require registration.

What specific Gradwell branded product have you got at the moment (and what do they suggest you upgrade to)?

Don't think this is necessarily true at all.....you need an auth ID/ and password in my experience. Generic trunk (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) is simply a means of adding a provider for which there is no ready made 3cx template. You get to fill in the blanks !
