I have an on prem setup and have gone through the full Google (Workspace) integration. I can SSO users and all the benefits I was looking for but during testing ran into a unique situation and was curious if anyone else saw this and if so, how to solve it.

I have a user that has an all day event on their Google Calendar but it is shown as a Private event but they have it marked to show them as Free and NOT Busy. The 3CX system still shows them as DND in the call panel.

Also, when the same user deletes the event, 3CX does not update their status back to Available.

Is there a setting somewhere I am missing to update with Google Calendar or limiation on the integration I need to be aware of?

Thanks.

Please note that, as per the guide, when creating an entry in Google Calendar, it will sync the presence of the user as follows:
  • Event > DND
  • Out of Office > Away
  • Focus time > DND
Was the event created to specify one of the above, and then changed?

Additionally, deleting the event once it has been processed will not change the status of the 3CX user.

This answers my last part where it is not updating if the person cancelled the event in Google Calendar, they need to go to 3CX and manually change their status back to Available.

The event in question that was indeed an Event but in Google Calendar it was set to show up as Free and not Busy. Does 3CX not digest that part of the Google Calendar event detail, Free or Busy?

OK, so due to not mentioning more details of the Event I am assuming 3CX does not get passed thus not able to differentiate the Busy or Free detail of the Event. An Event is an Event regardless of being designated as Busy or Free when adding it to the Google Calendar. Just want to make sure I understand how the integration works before rolling it out to users.
